Tbilisi: Lizi Gelashvili  a student of the Caucasus Business School  shared her academic experience under the Erasmus+ program. She also encouraged the other students to avail themselves of the program’s benefits to fulfill their dream of studying in a foreign country.

According to her  participating in the Erasmus+ exchange program was always been part of my plans. Since I was in school I knew I would go abroad to get this experience. I wanted to go to Germany because I got a German language certificate at school. I chose Caucasus University because I knew it would help me fulfill my dream of studying at a foreign University as well. I applied twice and despite the first rejection  I still  could not stop.

She further added that the preparation process was full of excitement and nervousness. However  the six months spent in Germany exceeded all expectations. When I arrived in Germany  I fell in love with Darmstadt   a small, student-friendly, quiet, and beautiful city.

Moreover  I soon felt like  home in this city in Germany getting rid of all the excitement and starting to enjoy my new lifestyle. The first month was an orientation session under which we saw a lot of places in Germany and got to know its culture and traditions. I made many friends from different countries of the world. They made my time in Darmstadt unforgettable  and getting to know a new country with them will remain an unforgettable memory of my life.

As per her version “During these six months I grew both personally and academically. Interacting with lecturers and students from different backgrounds allowed me to learn other views and perspectives. My German language has improved significantly by interacting with German-speaking students. And living on my own has taught me how to deal with problems in a crisis when we don’t have family and friends around to turn to for help.

She further explained that participating in the Erasmus+ exchange program was the best decision of my life and gave me unforgettable memories. I am grateful to my university for providing the best  knowledge and experience.
