Georgia: The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Alexander Tsuladze opened two newly rehabilitated public schools in the Lower Kartli region on April 7, 2025, Monday. He also congratulated the pupils and teachers for continuing education in a modern environment.
The Education Minister posted glimpses of his visit on its official Facebook page along with a small note about his visit. According to the information shared by the Minister, it should be noted that he got acquainted with the State Ombudsman Giorgi Dokturishvili about the updated infrastructure and education process in the public schools of the village of New Samgori of the Third and Gargabani Municipality of Bolnisi, with the State Commissioner in the Lower Kartli area.
The opening of the school was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Giorgi Jincharadze; Buba Gobejishvili, the Mayor of Bolnisi Municipality, David Karareteli, and Irakli Kuprava, the Head of the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency.
It is worth noting that the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Agency carried out the school’s rehabilitation works. After the completion of construction work the new academic session 2024-2025 in a fully rehabilitated, modern educational space is announced.
The Education Minister of Georgia, Alexander Tsuladze said that modern educational infrastructure is particularly important for improving the academic achievement of students, which in turn promotes the quality of education in schools. According to him, this is why both infrastructural and meaningful development of schools is one of the Ministry’s top priorities and really important steps will be taken in this direction.
It is also noteworthy that the third public school of Bolnisi has 210 students and the total cost of the project is up to 3 million GEL.
The Gardabani Municipality Village New Samgori Public School has 440 students and the total cost of the project is up to 3 million 600 thousand GEL.
In both public schools, science and computer laboratories, libraries, sports and activity halls, doctor’s offices, and resource rooms function parallel to learning spaces. Schools adapted for people with disabilities: lift sanitary knots, and ramp installed.
The local citizens have expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the Georgian Education Minister. They hope that the new school will bring more significant changes in the educational facilities of the region.
