Marneuli Municipality, Georgia: The students from the Marneuli municipality were invited by CENN to a demonstration plot in Maradisi village, where they delved into the practicalities of sustainable farming amidst climate change.
“Climate Resilient Agriculture – PRAISE Marneuli” project, is being implemented by CENN with the financial support of HEKS-EPER. The overall objective of the project is to support income generation opportunities for vulnerable populations in Marneuli Municipality through the development and promotion of environmentally friendly and climate-resilient agricultural (CRA) practices.
The visit, part of the “Climate Resilient Agriculture – PRAISE Marneuli” project, aimed to enlighten young minds on the pressing issue of climate change and its impact on agriculture. The students engaged in hands-on learning about climate-resilient and environmentally friendly agricultural practices. They were introduced to the theoretical underpinnings and practical aspects of greenhouse management and vegetable seedling production.
The school students learned about the impacts of climate change on agriculture, climate resilient and environmentally friendly agricultural practices, and got acquainted with the theory and practice of greenhouse arrangement and principles of vegetable seedling production.
This initiative is spearheaded by CENN with the generous financial backing of HEKS-EPER. The overarching goal of the project is to bolster income generation for Marneuli’s vulnerable communities by fostering and advocating for eco-friendly and climate-adaptive agricultural methodologies.
Through such immersive experiences, the project aspires to empower the youth with knowledge and skills that will enable them to contribute to the creation of a sustainable and resilient agricultural sector in their community.

Marneuli is a municipality in Georgia, in the region of Kvemo Kartli. Its administrative center and main town is Marneuli.
Marneuli Municipality is situated in the south-east part of the country near to border with Azerbaijan and Armenia. The size of the municipality is 935 km2. Most of its territory is located in the Marneuli lowland (between 350 and 600 meters above sea level). The highest point is Garadagh Mountain (1416 m.).
