Representatives of Gudavadze -Patarkatsishvili Foundation, General Director of the Foundation Zurab Kervalishvili, and Maya Chitashvili visited Samtskhe-Javakheti State University on November 19, 2024.
The mentioned foundation, in order to promote and develop the teaching profession, implements a student scholarship support program, for students of the primary education teacher training integrated, undergraduate education program.
According to today’s data, the holders of the Foundation Scholarship are 10 students of SJSU Primary Education.
It is worth noting that the Foundation does not cut ties with graduating scholars and constantly seeks to focus on post-student activities. The proof of this was on November 19, the visit to the lesson of Teona Tatoshvili, the bilingual teacher of the Armenian Public School of Akhaltsikhe Municipality, village Tskruti, who will become the primary school teacher of this school.
A summary meeting was held in the scientific library of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University. The guests were greeted and thanked by the University Rector, Professor Maka Beridze, Deputy Rector in Science, Professor Merab Beridze, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Associate Professor Guliko Bekaur, Georgian philologist III year student director of Abkhazian Center, Rima Sudadze.
Scholars shared emotions, motivation to study, and in general, the importance of a positive attitude towards learning with the representatives of the Foundation and the community attending.
The cooperation of SJSU will not end only with the scholarship program, in the current academic year, with the promotion and support of the foundation, the university has started a new elective module of social-emotional skills teaching for fifth-year students of the integrated, bachelor-master education program of primary education. During the program, students: Rusudan Paksashvili, Natia Ambroladze, Tornike Beridze, and Nino Inasaridze presented interesting presentations on the importance of teaching social-emotional skills to primary education teachers.
At the end of the meeting, the General Director of the Foundation, Zurab Kervalishvili, gave a summary speech, who thanked the students for their successful learning and activity, talked about the important priority of the Foundation’s activities, such as promoting and developing the teacher’s profession.
Zurab Kervalishvili was awarded with a token of thanks to the Rector of the University Professor Maka Beridze and Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Guliko Bekauri.
At the end of the meeting, the official signing ceremony on student scholarship contracts was held.
