By the Employees of the Migration and Patrol Police Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of a joint event, B.M., a citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany, born in 1998, was arrested and deported from Georgia.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) shared the glimpses of the arrest made by them on its official Facebook Page on January 10, 2026, Saturday. The Ministry also shared a small note about the arrest, along with its glimpses.
On January 7 this year, the person mentioned, while at Tbilisi International Airport, became aggressive, violated public order, and verbally insulted the police department staff while they called him to protect public order, which was followed by the arrest of B.M. under administrative law.
By the decision of the Tbilisi City Court, a citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany was declared a lawbreaker under articles 173 and 166 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. He was fined 4000 GEL in the form of administrative charges, as well as deportation from the country and a ban on entering Georgia for 3 years.
Based on the court’s decision, B.M. was escorted by the employees of the Migration Department to Tbilisi International Airport, where the event to deport him from the country was carried out.
It should be noted that in accordance with the amendments to the Law on the “Legal Status of Foreigners and Non-Citizens”, the mechanisms for expulsion of foreign citizens in Georgia, both illegally and legally, which constitute the legal basis for expulsion from their country, if there is a proper legal basis.
