Georgia: Military servicemen involved in the active reserve of the 204th battalion of the 20th personnel brigade of the Georgian National Guard, representatives of “General Giorgi Mazniashvili Youth Legion” and public organization “AISI” Abi participated in basic medical training for the first time.
The private staff conducted two days of theoretical and practical training. The Medical Training concluded with a demonstration event involving an ambulance and a helicopter. The training was conducted according to a simulation scenario of the wounded evacuation.The medical training was conducted with the help of the US military-civilian support group.
Admission to reserve is voluntary and paid. The intensive combat training of the reservists includes a period of up to 45 days in a year and is divided equally over 12 months. The main purpose of the training course is to provide real combat skills for reservists at subdivision field assemblies.
Reservists are provided with social and legal protection during the passing of the territorial reservation. Students, after the completion of one contract of reserve service, are considered to have completed military compulsory service.
Georgian citizens from 18 to 51 years old living in Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Kakheti, Imereti, Samegrelo, Adjara, Guria, Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions will be accepted in the territorial reserve, including students from 18 to 22 years old. Citizens enrolled in the territorial reserve will be signed a 4-year contract. Their monthly salary is 20% of the title Sargo, and when they are in the subdivision, they will take their full salary. The minimum annual salary of a reservist enrolled in the reserve is 2700 GEL.
