Georgia: The voluntary military training program for junior reserve officers begins on September 23, 2024, at the National Defense Academy, which is named after David Aghmashenebeli.

On the basis of a contract, Georgian citizens under 30 years of age, students with active status in the 3rd and 4th year of authorized higher education institutions, or persons with a bachelor’s academic degree will be admitted to the program without granting military service status.

According to the Defense Code of Georgia, the National Defense Academy training process will last two years. The curriculum is as consistent as possible with the civil curriculum. The lecture (military affair) will be on Sundays, a total of 57 Sundays, and it will be on the Academy premises. The practical component (field training) will be held on both Saturdays and Sundays, a total of 8 Saturdays and 14 Sundays.

The practical component also includes two two-week field training sessions. The first two-week field training will be from August 4 to August 17, 2025, and the second two-week field education will be from July 27 to August 9, 2026.

After successfully completing the program, a person with military commitment will be considered a pass through the National Military Service. During the study period, those enrolled in the program will be provided with a scholarship, health insurance, food, and property.

Candidate Receiving Commission ensures the selection of candidates admitted to the program. Selection will be based on the normative passing of the level of physical training and psychological, medical, and special examination results.

The documents for the military training program will be received at the Georgian National Defense Academy in Gori from August 29 to September 9, 2024.
