Tbilisi: The minister of Environment and Agriculture David Songulashvili met with the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Georgia Didier Tghebiuk. In this very important meeting both sides discuss multiple issues of environment importance.

At the meeting, David Songulashvili thanked the United Nations for the effective cooperation over the years and spoke about the ongoing issues in Georgia”.
The minister also thanked for cooperation by United Nation being extended to republic of Georgia within the framework of the European Neighbourhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development ENPARD IV, as well as the directions of animal identification, food safety, early warning systems, air quality, biodiversity and the forestry sector.
It is also to be noted that,Didier Tghebiuk noted, cooperation with the Ministry in the field of agriculture and environmental protection is effective and successful, therefore, support and coordinated work will continue in the future.
The Georgian minister said that the issues of global warming as well as the climate change is very crucial for human existence, moreover with the help regional and international organisation the Georgia is also taking many initiatives in this direction as well.
Notably the rising temperate means global rising temperature as well unpredictable climate patterns has begun creating number of problems in daily life of human being.
