Tbilisi: Giorgi Tsagareishvili, deputy minister of internally displaced persons from the occupied territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection met with the Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Minister during his meeting with IMP head Lars Johan Lönnbeck  discussed various issues.
It is worth to mention that during the meeting, the parties discussed the ongoing cooperation between Georgia and International organisation for migration. The Deputy Minister provided the Head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with detailed information on migration issues.
At the same time he also apprised them about the efforts being taken by his ministry and thanked him for the fruitful cooperation with the organization. In this regard, the ongoing projects in Georgia, which are being implemented with the involvement of IOM, were particularly noted.
It is also to be noted that the both sides on this occasion also s also agreed on the priority areas of future relations. At the end of the meeting, the parties once again confirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation.
The minister underlined need to immediate steps for curbing growing problems of illegal immigration. He also urged head of IOM for more cooperation with Georgian authorities so that efforts can be streamlined in this direction.
Notably the issue of the illegal migration has become a big global issue in last some years. The issues have drawn global attention. The regional, bilateral and international conflicts have caused multiple problems.
The people livings in conflict areas often take illegal route to find best living and employment opportunities. Unfortunately, most of time they fall in the trap of anti-social elements who promise them good job opportunities with best standard of living.
In search of the better living peacefully opportunities they take illegal and dangerous route to reach their final destination. Many innocent people lost their lives while taking an illegal routes to their destination.
