Georgia: The Georgian wine was presented in 20 countries in the world in the previous year, 2024, with the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia. The agency’s goal was to increase exports and diversify markets.
Georgian wine was represented at 24 international exhibitions, 13 festivals, and about 100 tasting presentations, across 20 countries, with the participation of around 200 Georgian companies.
The Georgian National Wine Agency shared glimpses of the international exhibitions on their official Facebook page on January 16, 2025. The agency also shared a short note about the international exhibitions along with the photographs.

The strategic markets for Georgian wine are the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Baltic countries, China, South Korea, and Japan. In these marketing countries, contracting companies of the National Wine Agency carry out various events to promote the popularization of Georgian wine and increase export potential.
The agency noted that in 2024 wine exhibitions, competitions, tours, and festivals were held throughout Georgia, which was important for the potential of wine tourism and the growth of wine consumption culture among local people.
It was also mentioned that wine in Georgia was represented at 54 events, including 17 exhibitions/festivals and 15 tasting presentations, 16 wine tours were held with the participation of foreign wine professionals, as well as competitions and symposiums.
Results:
- According to operational data, last year, the export of Georgian wine, compared to 2023 increased by 6% and reached 95 million liters.
- The state program of Georgian wine popularization, whose goal is to diversify wine markets and promote export potential growth, will amount to 16 million GEL in 2024.
