Kutaisi, Georgia: A new bus route has been launched for a probationary period in the administrative unit of the Automobile Factory in Kutaisi, the second-largest city in Georgia.

The Kutaisi City Hall and the Municipal Transport Company made the decision as part of their efforts to improve the public transportation system and the mobility of the citizens.

The new bus route, numbered N47, will start from Automobiles Avenue #53 (near the main entrance of Hualing, a Chinese-owned free industrial zone) and move in the following direction: Automobile Builder Avenue – Bukia Street – Zurab Chavchavadze Street (24th Public School) – Automobile Builder’s Avenue – Irakli Abashidze Avenue – Shervashidze Street – Irakli Abashidze Avenue – Automobile Avenue – Zurab Chavchavadze Street – Bukia Street – Automobile Avenue #53.

The new route will be incredibly convenient for students and teachers of 24th, 32nd and 37th public schools along the road. It will also serve the residents and workers of the Automobile Factory area, one of the city’s oldest and most industrialized parts.

The new route is a trial one, and its effectiveness and demand will be evaluated after a certain period. The Kutaisi City Hall and the Municipal Transport Company have been working on developing and modernizing the municipal transport auto park, including purchasing 60 new buses and constructing a new car park on Sulkhan-Saba Avenue123.

The Kutaisi City Hall and the Municipal Transport Company hope that the new bus route will increase the accessibility and comfort of public transportation for the citizens of Kutaisi and contribute to the social and economic development of the city.
