The new route will provide a convenient and affordable alternative for the residents of Dmanisi and Gomareti, who previously had to rely on private minibuses or taxis to reach Tbilisi. The City Hall plans to introduce new routes and buses to create a modern and eco-friendly municipal transport system.
The new buses are expected to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution in the city and increase passengers’ comfort and safety. The buses are fully adapted for people with disabilities, equipped with a voice system, internal and external video monitoring systems, mobile charging points, air conditioning and ventilation systems, and free Wi-Fi connection to passengers.
The new route is also expected to boost the economic and social development of Dmanisi and Gomareti, as well as the cultural and historical ties between the regions. Dmanisi is known for its archaeological site, where the oldest human fossils outside Africa were discovered, dating back to 1.8 million years ago. Gomareti is a picturesque village with a rich history and traditions, famous for its cheese and wine production.
The new municipal transport route is welcome news for the residents of Dmanisi and Gomareti, who can now enjoy a faster and cheaper way to travel to Tbilisi and explore the opportunities and attractions of the capital city. The City Hall hopes the new route will attract more visitors and tourists to the regions and promote their cultural and natural heritage.
