Borjomi Municipality hosted the New Year event on New Year’s Eve with the support of the Municipality government. The event ended with a gala concert and festive fireworks. The composition performed by David Iluridze’s band made the event quite memorable.
To celebrate the new year, a big stage was installed in the Merab Kostava Square of the Borjomi Municipality. An exhibition and sale of works of local entrepreneurs was also held.
The whole event was organized by the Georgian Government. The event started at 17: 00 on December 31st. Various outstanding events were organized for the celebration. Various types of entertaining activities were also organized for the visiting guests. They are:
- Christmas market: exhibition-sale of local products and handicrafts;
- Children’s Workshops: Toy Workshop, Candy Factory, Magic Letter Corner;
- Theatrical march: walking orchestra, animated characters, Ocho legs;
- Stage performance: soap balloon show, fire show, chemical show;
- Gala Concert: Concerts of Georgian pop stars.
At the end of the day, the concert was held with the participation of different groups:
- Group “Iberia”
- Ethno jazz group,, Irao“
- Quartet “Unison”
- Neka Sebiskveradze
- Eka Dolidze
- Ensemble “Borjomi”
- David Iluridze band.
The New Year event was fantastic, Santa Claus took care of the mood of the visitors, especially the little ones, with elves, fairy tale heroes, and animators. Themed photo shooting spaces were also arranged. In the Christmas village also, children were encouraged to make Christmas tree toys with their own hands.
The Borjomi Municipality City Council also shared glimpses of the New Year event on their Official Facebook page. They shared photos and videos of the Citizens enjoying the event. The people can be seen dancing and singing with great joy and happiness.
Through the post it was seen that people were dressed in different and beautiful outfits, some were dressed as Santa clauses also. The people were amazed at the celebrations of the New Year in Borjomi. In the photographs shared by the Borjomi City Council, it can also be seen that people were enjoying the event and have been clicking pictures with everyone.
It also attracted many tourists who visited Georgia just for the celebration of the new year. They were impressed by the events and will share the glances of the events on their social media sites which will enhance the tourism of the Municipality.
