The administration of the Tbilisi International Airport has expanded the departure terminal to provide a world-class facility to travelers. The project was executed by the airport managing company namely “Tav Georgia”.
It is to be specifically mentioned that for the implementation of this project a total amount of 2,200,000 GEL, was utilized. The facility has been created to provide additional comfort for passengers as well as to increase airport efficiency and reduce queues.
Under the new renovation the airport authorities have increased the number of passport control booths and expanded the aviation safety check zone and the business lounge in the Departure Hall.
Moreover there will be a speedway for special needs and business class passengers that will allow them to go through necessary procedures to make the queuing time as short as possible.
The company with responsibility for reconstruction works with full compliance with safety rules has completed the work within the planned time. The company “Tav Georgia” will continue to implement projects focused on providing even higher quality service to passengers and airlines in the future. Under the new space the passport control kiosks have been increased the aviation security check area and the business lounge located in the departure hall also has been expanded.
There will be also a FastTrack corridor for special needs and business class passengers along with a special service allowing a person to pass all the formalities at the Airport in the minimum time and with maximum comfort without long queues.
After the new space addition at the departure terminal it wore a new look. There was also a facility of escalator. Many digital signboards have also been installed to guide and make the travel experience of the passengers easy.
