Georgia: The mayor of Kedi municipality, Roland Beridze, held a working meeting with representatives of the administrative unit on Monday, along with the first deputy, Imeda Vasadze. The meeting focused on the issues caused by the recent natural disaster that affected the region.

According to the mayor, the roads leading to village centers and internal rural roads are open in all directions, and the residential houses are in the final phase of reconstruction. He praised the efforts of the local authorities and the citizens for their resilience and cooperation in the face of the calamity.

He also announced that the Geological Service has completed the survey of the territories and that the citizens will be compensated accordingly based on the conclusion that will be ready this week. He urged the affected residents to apply for the compensation as soon as possible.

In addition, the mayor talked about the programs and projects that will be implemented this year to improve the infrastructure and the quality of life of the municipality. He said that tenders have been announced for several projects and that the works will start on March 1, 2024.

The meeting was also attended by the heads of the relevant departments and the representatives of the local media. The mayor answered the questions of the journalists and expressed his optimism for the future of the municipality.
