The local administration of the Zestafoni city hall of Georgia has provided the construction materials to the families affected by the natural disaster. Many other municipalities also provided financial assistance as well as building construction materials to affected families as well.
The initiative aims to enable the affected families to live their normal lives again. It is to be specifically mentioned that in the last months the disaster caused by the natural calamities created many problems for the local population of the municipality as well.
The administration of Zestafoini also took to their social material and provided information through a Facebook post. The city hall wrote in a Facebook post that “Zestafoni City Hall donated construction materials to families affected by the natural disaster”.
It further added, “In the municipality families affected by the storm whose roofs were damaged the municipal hall provided the materials needed for covering”.
It is to be added that the Mayor of Zestafoni Vasil Gvelesiani along with the Chairman of the City Council Vakhtang Ghabashidze together with representatives of local self-government visited the families in Daba Shorapan whose houses were sealed by the City Hall administration to get the updated information about the groud situations.
At the same time it was also informed that the funds were allocated from the local budget reserve fund to help families affected by the flood.Heavy rain and strong winds damaged the roofs of many houses. The damaged rooftop has forced a large number of people to live under the open sky for many days without any help.
Now the city hall came forward so that they can lead a normal routine life with comfort.The mayor while speaking during his visit said that this is a great initiative taken by the city hall for the welfare of citizens under their jurisdiction.
He said that in the future the necessary measures will be taken by the administration as well to mitigate the damage caused by natural disasters like heavy rainfall, snowfall, floods, etc.
