Rustavi municipality is committed to development: Nino Latsabidze

While addressing the Georgian Parliament Nino Latsabidze the Mayor of Rustavi city hall reconfirmed the municipality's commitment to development projects.

Nino Latsabidze the Mayor of Rustavi city hall reconfirmed the municipality’s commitment to development projects. She expressed her views while submitting the municipality’s information report to the Georgian Parliament. She addressed the Georgian Parliament and explained the municipality’s future plans to the MPs.

It should be added that on April 6, 2024 the Rustavi City Hall team presented information to the Parliament of Georgia. This report was about the projects that the municipality implemented. Together with the suport of the parliament and central government these projects aimed to improve Rustavi’s air quality.

The mayor on this occasion while expressing her happiness said that the results of the work done in the last two years give us positive dynamics. It also motivates us to make more decisions for the overall development of the municipality.

According to Mayor Nino Latsabidze the Self-monitoring system is already working in 32 factories across Georgia most of which are in Rustavi city.

She further added“This is the result of our team’s joint work, but we are still facing many challenges, which we must overcome to live in an environmentally friendly environment in Rustavi”.

Moreover the administration of the city municipality step by step fulfils its obligations according to the air management plan and will continue its efforts as well.

The mayor also disclosed that we had started work on developing the Chali forest. We are working on this project with the technical and financial assistance of the Ministry and the Swedish development agency.

Today we have also discussed the future plans and still unresolved challenges that we need to implement with parliamentary and government support so that Rustavi no longer has air quality problems and Rustavi people can live in an ecologically clean environment added the Mayor.

The poor air quality was a major issue for the residents of the Rustavi. Social media users laud the report and achievement of the municipality to ensure better air quality. While commenting on the Facebook post of the Nino Latsabidze one user said “When the goal of the team is to serve the city everything will work out! Good luck for your endeavours”.
