The NGO taking to its social media handle  said that the government must not exceed its authority. The NGO posted on its official Facebook page that “ For several weeks now  physical attacks on government opponents and activists having the support of  “Georgian Dream”  have not stopped. The government is no longer able to subjugate the Georgian people with propaganda and is now angry with the people and  physically assaults them.”

It also stated that in the last two months   many times the leaders and officials of the ruling party have given many statements that incited violence.  At the same time informal groups subordinate to them curse ,threaten, deface offices and residences, and abuse ordinary citizens.

It is also worth mentioning that while criticizing the law enforcement agencies, the report added that “the law enforcement agencies have become the  tool of the current government to suppress the political opponents as well.”

It further states that recently  the speaker of parliament  Shalva Papuashvili  mentioned Zuka Berdzenishvili by name in his statement  and within an hour  the activist was physically attacked.  We condemn all the acts of violence committed by the government against the Georgian people they are not the enemy but the citizen of the country.

Moreover we have recorded all the evidence and hope that soon  a fair investigation will be conducted to begin the trial of the accused person as well. The government itself is the orderer of this violence. The violent regime can no longer find a common language with the citizens and tries to cover up its weakness with violence.

Our Non-Governmental Organisation expresses its solidarity with every citizen of Georgia who is attacked by the government and will ensure that these people get a fair trial and justice in a timely manner without any discrimination.
