NGO Women Information Centre announces competition “Women can, women act, women change”

The Tbilisi-based prominent non-governmental organisation namely the Women Information Centre has announced to host the competition for informational material. The winner will be selected for best informational blog, vlog, photo news, or article. The competition will  be held under the name of “Women Can, Women Act, Women Change.”

As per the representative of the NGO, the main objective of the competition is to raise public awareness on the “law of transparency of foreign influence” adopted by the Parliament of Georgia this month.  The competition aims to raise awareness to deal with the disinformation being spread against civil organizations, the media, and the Georgian people which can cause damage to the EU aspiration of Georgia.

Earlier the agenda of the competition was different but later on, it was changed due to the current incidents in the country.  The sub-topic under the main theme will include:

1. Impact of “Foreign Influence Transparency” law on human rights
2. The   “Transparency of Foreign Influence” law affect on  the country’s European future
3.  ” Transparency of Foreign Influence Act” impact on the activities of civil organizations
4. Role of civil activism against the “Foreign Influence   Law”
5. Misinformation regarding the civil organizations and media houses

Terms  and conditions of the article contest will be as follows:

1. It should be in the form of a blog/article
2. It must respond to the goals of the competition
3. Meaning should be conveyed clearly and coherently
4. The text must be grammatically, orthographically, and stylistically correct, following punctuation rules
5. The text of the article must be in “Word” format, font-size: 12
6. Word should be between 300 to 1000. Interval between lines 5.

The source of information must be mentioned at the end of the article. There should be also themed photos/posters.

Terms and conditions of vlog competition:

1. Must respond to the goals and themes of the competition
2. It should be informative and interesting for the audience
3. can shoot a video  with a camcorder, photo camera, mobile phone
4. The format of the video is unlimited in HD format quality
5. The duration of the video ibe 2-3 minutes.

Terms and conditions for photo story:

1. Must respond to the goals and themes of the competition
2. Interesting and Must include original narrative description
3. Photo format must be JPEG
4. The   photo should be taken in 780×580 size

Terms and conditions for the Poster:

The poster must include an original thematic slogan as per the  objectives and the theme of the competition

1. The poster should be informative and the visuals   should reflect the theme
2. The poster is accepted in  1200 x 630 pixels for Facebook and 1080 x 1080 for Instagram

Material must not be published on any other information channel. The winners will be awarded with cash prizes. The Prize money will be  300 GEL, including income tax  .  Any information can be obtained from the official page of the NGO.
