Tbilisi: Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia has refused to implement any sanction against the government officials. The statement is very significant as it comes amid ongoing protest through the country.
While sharing his thoughts about proposed sanction he said there is no plan in such direction. On Sunday Prime Minster comments also refer to recent possible proposal of suspending visa facility for some member of Georgian Dream the ruling party of Georgia.
The European Union while proposing this visa restriction said that this decision has been taken considering Georgian Dream led government to suspend talk of its integration into European Union.
The whole country is boiling since government of Georgia has decided to suspend ongoing talk about its accession to European Union. Protester are saying that this decision has been taken under undue influence of Russia.
They also blamed Georgian Dream for allowing Russian influence on foreign policy of Georgia. Prime Minister speaking further said that it is very sad to see when country integration into European Union is equated with the LGBT propaganda and other irrelevant things. He said this trend is very shocking and unacceptable as well.
He said we cannot make any law which allow the relation between same gender. This is against the nature and against the law of God as well. He further underlined that the law is very simple and we just need to look about the other things regarding law and should keep ourselves away from controversy as well.
He said anything against nature cannot be accepted easily in any society so we have also decided to ban this relationship in India under the Georgian law as well. The ruling party of Georgia “Georgian Dream” had already faced though resistance from people when it introduced the foreign agents law.
The country faced wide scape protest the law. Foreign agents’ law was implemented to keep a check on the foreign funding of non-government organisation and civil society organisation as well.
