Tbilisi: In a significant turn of events, the ruling party of Georgia “Georgian Dream” now alleged domestic opposition parties for poll day fraud.

Georgian Dream also reported 102 such cases to the office of the Prosecutor of Georgia for further investigation.

Today the executive secretary of the Georgian Dream party, Mamuka Mdinaradze, said that we have solid proof that the domestic opposition was involved in the orchestrated fraud in the October 26 general elections.

Moreover Mdinaradze claimed that we have recognized 102 cases in which opposition parties have manipulated voter choice with undue influence.

Mdinaradze added that after the election, opposition parties blamed us for fraud without any solid proof. However we have 102 cases with solid proof, which will clearly show how the opposition, not Georgian Dream tired to influence voters with threats and the use of other illegal methods.

We approached the office of prosecution with the evidence of 102 cases. We also strongly demanded an unfair, impartial investigation in this regard, added  Mdinaradze who was addressing media persons from the Tbilis office of the party.

In the beginning of his address he congratulated Donald Trump and said our party would work for a peaceful relationship with the new government of the United States of America under Donald Trump.

According to MP Mdinaradze’s version “Georgian Dream” supporters were engaged at many polling stations as observers. This was done to halt the peaceful polling process.

He also shared the case of Zurab Dzebisashvili, a supporter of the Georgian Dream who was contacted by opposition parties to serve as their representative.

At the same time many other supporters of the Georgian Dream also levelled the same allegation against the opposition parties.

It is pertinent to mention that Dzebisashvili’s name was registered in a remote village to prevent him from exercising his voting rights.According Mdinaradze, GD officials are examining similar incidents in almost 400 anothe cases.

The party will also produce all evidence related to these 400 cases to the prosecution office once confirmed violence.
