Tbilisi: Irakli Kobakhidze the Prime Minister of Georgia, justified the ban on opposition parties. He justified the proposed ban due to these parties’ criminal objectives.
As per PM Â they have become one entity under the umbrella of the collective National Moment. All of these opposition parties are associated with each other. That is why the legal procedure or appeal against the ban should not be objected to by anyone.
Prime Minister was reacting to the question of media personnel and added that it is the collective National Movement with the involvement of parties Ahali and Droa; he further talked about  politicians who were linked with the United National Movement in direct and indirect ways.
It is worth to mention that the United National Movement is leading the opposition party for national interest, whereas on the other hand the Ahali is central to the Coalition for Change they want to bring into the country as well.
The Prime Minister accused Lelo and said that  Lelo has been directly involved in business racketeering with the Unite national movement. The investigation was conducted thoroughly in this regard. Notably the opposition party  Lelo, which Mamuka Khazaradze leads  is termed as strong party around the Georgia coalition.
On former GD Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Kobakhidze specifically said that “Gakharia has lost the track, due to which he has direct links with UNM in four municipalities. This link in four municipalities reflects its direct alliance with criminal political forces. It is our joint responsibility to bring all criminal forces to justice.
According to the Prime Minister, there is no need for the constitutional court to take cognizance; instead, the Prosecution office must take strict action against the culprits. He also demanded that the prosecution office start an in-depth investigation to extract the truth.
The election for the National Party of Georgia is scheduled for October 2024. The opposition parties claimed to have sure victory with the formation of the united front. On the other hand  the ruling regime  also hopeful of victory due to its people-friendly policies.
