The Mayor of Ozurgeti, Avtandil Talakvadze, met with Giorgi Gabunia, Chairman of the Cultural Committee of the Parliament of Georgia. During the meeting, they discussed ongoing projects and plans. The needs of the cultural sphere were discussed.

As noted at the meeting, strengthening the cultural potential of the regions and protecting the cultural heritage is one of the main priorities of the Committee, and in this regard, the cooperation with Ozurgeti City Hall will be strengthened even further in the future.
The mayor of Ozurgeti and the chairman of the Culture Committee also visited the building of the House of Culture located in the village of Shroma, which is undergoing a complete rehabilitation.
The works include the restoration and refurbishment of unique interior spaces. The project is implemented by the National Agency for Protection of Cultural Heritage of Georgia, and its budget is 2,565,000 GEL.
The historical building, which has the status of a cultural heritage monument, was built in 1956. It is one of the most prominent among the cultural houses in Georgia and has needed restoration and renovation for years.
