The official visit of Prime Minster Irakli Kobakhidze to United Arab Emirates has begun. Prime Minster will meet official and representatives of Government of UAE during this visit.
Prime Miniter Kobakhidze, while taking to his social media handles stated, “I met with the Minister of Tolerance of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
The meeting noted the successful cooperation between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates in various fields and the prospects for further deepening trade, economic and investment ties.”
It is worth to note that during his official visit of Prime Minister paid special attention on the favourable investment environment in Georgia. He also apprised official government representative of United Arab Emirates about the various state programs supporting business, projects.
The construction of these projects is aimed at promoting the competitiveness of the private sector and the growing export potential.
It is also worth mentioning that the discussion also touched the issues of Tbilisi Dry Port project, which is being implemented with the investment of the Abu Dhabi Ports Group. Moreover, both sides also underlined importance of the development of the Middle Corridors.
The conversation also touched on the successful completion of negotiations with the largest development company EMAAR, because of which significant investment projects will be implemented in Georgia.
The meeting at the same time focused on cooperation between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates in the field of tourism, the development of which was significantly facilitated by the implementation of the visa-free regime.
Prime Minister after the meeting highlighted that, we confirmed our readiness to contribute to the further deepening of bilateral relations in various sectors. He also expressed hopes for positive response from Government of United Arab Emirates.
On the other hand, UAE government extended a warm reception to Georgian Prime Minster. They also assured Georgia delegations members that United Arab Emirates is ready to cooperate with Georgia government for making bilateral relations more string and stable.
