The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance Drew, bids farewell to the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Michael Lin, to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.
The Prime Minister also shared the glimpses of the farewell ceremony on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. PM Terrance Drew also shared a small note appreciating Ambassador Lin, along with the glimpses of the event.
The Prime Minister noted that Ambassador Lin has had an outstanding career with the federation, most recently remaining at post for seven and a half years. As a representative of this county during several administrations, he deepened the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
“The hard work, diplomacy, and humanity that Ambassador Lin brought to the role were unique and had a profound impact,” the Prime Minister said. Notably, his professionalism won him the respect of everyone who had the honor of working with him, and his leadership encouraged greatness among the team he oversaw.
Prime Minister Terrance Drew noted that Ambassador Lin was trustworthy. All agreements entered into during his time were fulfilled in full measure, which was beyond their expectations. Projects led by him, such as the new hospital, the desalination plant, and various health and capacity-building initiatives, bear the clear imprint of his advocacy and support.
It is also noteworthy that, aside from his professional achievement, Ambassador Lin was a good and decent human being. His humility, kindness, and concern for people won everyone over. This, above all else, was the key to his success.
At Last, Dr. Terrance Drew added that as Ambassador Lin heads back to Taiwan, they offer him their sincere thanks and wish him all the best in his future. “Farewell, Ambassador Lin. You will always have a home in St. Kitts and Nevis,” Drew added.
