The NEMA headquarters hosted a pre-strike meeting involving all relevant stakeholders. This meeting, part of a comprehensive approach to disaster preparedness, was an essential step in ensuring our safety.
The meeting included the Acting Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Security, Glenroy Blanchette, Claricia Langley-Stevens, Chair of the National Emergency Management Agency Board, and Abdias Samuel, National Disaster Coordinator.

Drew shared glimpses of the meeting on his official Facebook page. He also mentioned, “As part of our preparedness activities for the season, NEMA has held simulation exercises, and the government has continued prioritizing disaster preparedness through investment.”
