The Georgian Wine is already achieving a remarkable milestone. In 2025, Georgian wine will continue to grow in the international strategic markets, with an increased budget.
On January 22, 2025, the National Wine Agency of Georgia posted information about the increased budget of Georgian wine in foreign markets. It was noted that the budget of the Georgian Wine Promotion Program 2025 has been determined by 17.4 million GEL, which is 1.4 million GEL more than the previous year’s analog budget.
The National Wine Agency of Georgia supported the Georgian wine in terms of finance and organization. So due to this support, in 2025, Georgian wine will be actively represented in the following strategic markets: USA, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Baltic countries, China, South Korea, and Japan, where various format events will be carried out by contracting companies of the National Wine Agent.
The manufacturers of Georgian wine will participate in all important international exhibitions of wine and alcoholic beverages.
According to the information, it should be noted that the “State Program for Promotion of Georgian Wine Popularization” will be continued, within which marketing costs will be co-financed for companies that export to priority markets and different countries of the world, except DST and Suam countries.
Within the framework of the state program of popularizing Georgian wine production on the local market, wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals will be held throughout Georgia, which is important for increasing the potential of wine tourism and wine consumer culture.
It is noteworthy that, in 2024, Georgian wine was represented at 54 events, including 17 exhibitions/festivals and 15 tasting presentations, 16 wine tours were held with the participation of foreign wine professionals, as well as competitions and symposiums.
According to the information shared by the Georgian National Wine Agency, in the last year, a record 565 million US dollars in revenue was received from wine and spirits exports, which is 24% higher than the analogous data in 2023.
It should also be noted that, in the complicated landscape of global wine production, Georgia stands out as a noteworthy contributor.
