Georgia: The public school in the Tkachiri village of Tskaltubo municipality was fully rehabilitated, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.
Alexander Tsuladze, Minister of Education, Science and Youth visited the modern standards school and got acquainted with the renewed educational infrastructure.
The Minister met with the representatives of the school teachers and administration, congratulated them on continuing education in a new environment, and noted that the modern educational space will provide more opportunities for both students and teachers to express their talents and abilities.
Aleksandre Tsuladze discussed with teachers the issues of refinement of teachers’ professional development and career advancement scheme, salary policy, challenges in schools, and ways to solve them.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister awarded the outstanding teachers of Tkachiri Public School for their many years of fruitful work.
The event was attended by the Deputy Commissioner of State Besik Gopodze and the mayor of Tskaltubo Municipality Genadi Balanchivadze.
The cost of the rehabilitation project of the village Tkachiri Public School, which is counted for 240 pupils, is up to 3 million GEL.
Within the framework of the infrastructure project, in parallel with the study spaces, the physiological and computer labs, a gym, a doctor’s office, and a resource room are functioning. The school is fully adapted for the disabled: lift, sanitary knots, and ramp.
Tskaltubo Municipality
Tskaltubo is a district of Georgia, in the region of Imereti. Its main town is Tskaltubo. Tskaltubo Municipality is a self-governing unit in the Imereti region. People still lived on its territory during the Stone Age, which is confirmed by the numerous settlements discovered during the excavations.
