Georgia: The reconstruction and rehabilitation of Gori’s central park are finished. The city’s residents and guests already use the renovated park.
The park’s territory was divided into different types—sports, cultural, and recreational zones. New spaces have been created, which will make it much more comfortable for young people, children, and their parents to spend time in the park.

“The rehabilitation-reconstruction of the Gori Central Park, built on 12 hectares, has been completed. The park allowed us to create attractive, different-purpose spaces for people of all ages. It is also essential that infrastructure has been made in the park, which is managed by the involvement of the private sector.
“With the renovated park, Gori already has a large and interesting recreational space, which is important for all cities,” – Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze announced after visiting the newly rehabilitated central park of Gori.
For the park’s greening, grass, 237 trees, and 10,649 plants were planted on 46,793 sqm, and engineering networks for sewerage, water supply, and irrigation automated systems were installed. Similar to modern parks, a special space for dog walking has been arranged separately in the territory.
The renewed infrastructure of Gori Central Park is not just a visual upgrade, but a testament to our commitment to inclusivity. It is fully adapted for disabled individuals and parents using strollers, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the park’s facilities.
The rehabilitation and reconstruction of Gori Park is a significant undertaking, with a financial investment of over 12.2 million Gel. This substantial funding, received from the World Bank, underscores the importance of this project for our community.
