The rehabilitation of the 21 km section of the 33 km road was completed this year, with fully enforced road safety standards and all the requirements necessary for internal roads. Several sewage sections have been processed, monitoring continues on one sewage section. So far, it could be said that the updated road is already fully in compliance with the established standards.
In the Guria region, the rehabilitation of the road to Bakhmaro has just been completed. Overall, within the framework of several road infrastructure projects in Guria, the rehabilitation construction of more than 71 km of domestic roads has been completed, contributing to the region’s environmental sustainability.
The Ozurgeti-shemochmedi-bzhuzhes-gomismta motorway (km13-km32.6) is a crucial road infrastructure located within the Ozurgeti municipality. It passes through the Mtagorian, an uninhabited relief, starting in Bzuzhhesi and ending in the Gomi Mountain Resort settlement.
The road infrastructure in this section is important for the safe and comfortable movement of the region’s population, tourists, and visitors. It also plays a crucial role in facilitating trade and commerce, thereby boosting the local economy.
