Samtredia, Georgia: The rehabilitation works of road infrastructure in Samtredia municipality are actively underway, as the government of the municipality wishes to upgrade the road networks of its region.
At this stage, a capital road is also being built in one of the villages of the municipality, the second Nigormtva. This capital road is very important in this rehabilitation process as it also represents the road to St. George’s Cathedral. The work is carried out by co-financing the local budgets of projects in the regions.
The mayor of the municipality David Bakhtadze inspected the ongoing works on January 10, 2025, and also talked to the locals, along with the head of the supervision service Amiran Tevdoradze, and the representative of the mayor in the administrative unit of Sajavakho David Koridze.
The municipality’s residents expressed their gratitude for the implementation of the project and thanked the mayor for making certain efforts to improve the highway system of the region. While talking to David Bakhtadze, the locals noted that the absence of a capital road in the village was creating a problem for them to move.
Despite the New Year’s Day and the celebrations which were going on in the areas of rehabilitation, the road is being made to the village II Nigormtva,” noted the mayor of Samtredia Municipality, David Bakhtadze.
The local citizens are glad to know that the roads of their region are developing as this will directly help in easy transportation of products and will benefit especially those who wish are willing to increase their small scale businesses.
He appreciated the workers involved in the rehabilitation works for their efforts in prioritizing the safety of the citizens of Samtredia who are still working to make better road links in the regions.
The mayor also noted that the implementation of the project will improve the conditions of the people living in highland areas. With the support of the Georgian government, similar works will be carried out throughout the whole year throughout the Samtredia municipality.
