Khashuri, Georgia:Â The results of the civil (participatory) budgeting election in the village Ali are known. The results of electronic voting were announced on May 7, 2024, Tuesday.
The project selected by citizens’ decision will be financed from Khashuri’s municipal budget. Only citizens registered in Ali could vote on projects presented in Ali.
They will inform everyone about the results of the election:
Majority of votes – 290 votes (68%) of the total votes was received by the project “Asphalt of the internal road in Goglient district”. Therefore, the project will be financed from Khashuri’s municipal budget.
Two more projects were presented at the election – “Wrestling hall rehabilitation and heating system arrangement”, which received 56 votes (13%) The project “Arrangement of an internal road to the school” received 83 votes, which is 19% of the total votes.
60% of the participants in the election were men and 40% were women.
The project with the slogan “Plan your budget” is implemented within the framework of the civil budgeting program of Khashuri Municipality. The aim of the program is to increase the involvement of citizens in the municipal budget planning stage.
Khashuri Municipality thanked all citizens who actively participated in the civic (participatory) budgeting project. Special thanks to the authors of the project ideas. They hope that they will be actively involved in the civilian budgeting project in the future and succeed.
