Adjara: The bad weather and snowfall continue to create problems for common citizens. The authorities of the Kedi municipality are carrying out the rehabilitation work at full pace to make the situation normal again.
The traffic movement in many parts of the municipality has also been stopped. The roads are loaded with heavy snowfall. Due to this heavy snowfall the, the local administration has engaged a number of machines to make the road clean of snowfall.
As per the official, the employees of the department are facing many difficulties due to bad weather, especially snowfall. They are facing difficulty carrying out the cleaning work as the roads have become slippery, and it is dangerous to operate the heavy machinery on these roads.
Kedi municipality also took to their social media page and stated that “In Keda, the cleaning of motorways from snow is taking place actively.Since the morning, the 12 units of the Adjara Road Department and two units of machinery of the municipality are involved in the works, as well as human resources.
At this stage, roads connecting administrative centres are being cleaned.Electricity is not provided to the administrative units of Makhuntseti, Dologna and Merisi. Also to villages Varjani, Akho and Agara. The restoration work is underway.
Ongoing works were recognised by the mayor of Kedi Municipality, Roland Beridze, and Gocha Beridze, the head of the Kedi Department of Adjara Road”.
As per the information, the electricity supply also has been hit due to adverse weather conditions. The road department official said that people should stay indoors for their safety.
The official also said that people should avoid unnecessary travel on snow-filled roads. Social media users appreciated the work of the municipality to clean the roads. They also expressed hopes that with the full efforts of the municipality, the roads will be cleaned soon, and the people will be able to travel to their destinations.
