Tbilisi: On Sunday, the Russian control media house TASS revealed that Russian authorities had entered the name of Georgian defense Minister Davit Kezerashvili into an interntional wanted list. The former defence Minister was named and charged in Russia in absentia for large-scale fraud.
According to media reports, the decision has been communicated to Russia’s law enforcement agencies to take further action. According to the Russian media  the Georgian defence minister was involved in the two cases. The first one involved financial fraud, whereas the second case related to a war crime committed by Georgia in Tskhinvali in 2008.
The alleged war crimes were committed by Georgia in the Russian-occupied region of Tskhinvali. Â It is also worth noting that the name of the former defence minister was entered under the provisions of section 159 part 4 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation. Article 159, part four of the Russian criminal code specifies the offense of large-scale fraud.
It is also to be noted that the court of Russia situated in Moscow, has already issued preventative measures. The court in a preventative measure has ordered his detention in absentia. The news agency said that have revealed this information further revealed that in 2016, the foreign defence minister was made definite in the 2008 war crime case.
In addition  at the time of the Russian-Georgian war Russia decided that Georgian Defense Minister Kezerashvili was made guilty, along with many others.
The other who were involved include the names of Georgian Interior Minister Merabishvili, Commander of Peacekeeping Operations at the Joint Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces Kurashvili, Commander of the Fourth Infantry Brigade of the Land Forces of the Georgian Armed Forces Kalandadze, Commander of the Georgian Air Force and Air Defense Nairashvili.
On the other hand, the Georgian minister said that the Russian media has launched false propaganda against me. He also added that this is not the first time, but more than 12 years have passed since the Russian media tried to defame me.
