Russia-Ukraine War:   In another missile attack from Russia, more than 40 Ukrainian cities were pounded as the NATO allies met in Brussels and have been planning to buff up the European Air Defense system with Patriot and various other missile systems.

“We are living in threatening, dangerous times,” said German Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht during a signing ceremony. In the ceremony, more than a dozen European members of NATO jointly agreed on the procurement of weapons for a European Sky Shield for enhanced protection of their country.

Meanwhile, Kremlin has warned that the military aid for Ukraine, which NATO members agreed on, earlier this week at the meeting, has now made the US-led military alliance ‘a direct party to the conflict’, and the implications of this move could ultimately lead to World War.

“Kyiv is well aware that such a step would mean a guaranteed escalation to a World War Three,” stated the deputy secretary of Russia’s Security Council, Alexander Venediktov.

Russia has been justifying its so-called special operation in Ukraine, which has so far claimed the lives of millions of individuals, stating the security threats to Russia if Ukraine joins NATO.

However, NATO won’t easily let Ukraine in as its member, considering the ongoing war between the nations, as it would directly imply the Russian war be against NATO and its allies itself.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has received armed assistance from Washington and NATO member nations. Additionally, the NATO countries have imposed numerous sanctions against Russia but have kept away from being a direct party to the conflict.

In fact, prior to the war, NATO has been reluctant to add Ukraine as a member. Soon after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signalled his willingness to consider neutrality.

In the last 24-hours, more than 40 towns have been rocked by the Russian missile assaults.
