In Rustavi Youth Palace, Civic Education Club “Me-Diator” was opened. The club is for young people aged 14-18, and its goal is to instill civic responsibility among young people and to build a strong civic society.
In the first club meeting of “Me-Diator”, Rustavi mayor Nino Latsabidze, Rustavi delegate Irakli Shatakishvili in the Georgian Parliament, Chairman of the City Council Mamuka Rekhviashvili, and member of the City Council Amiran Janjghava participated. The meeting was held in the format of an interactive lecture.
The Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze, shared the glimpses of the Civic Education Club on its official Facebook page on March 10, 2026, Tuesday. The Mayor also shared a small note about the event along with its glimpses.
In her note, the mayor of Rustavi Nino Latsabidze said, “the absolutely correct opinions, which we have heard from our young people at the meeting of the Civic Club “Me-Diator”, once again testify that we have very educated, right values oriented and active young people, who are well aware of the importance of their role in the development of our city and country.”
Nino Latsabidze noted, “We all want to live in a developed and modern city. For this, a strong civil society and civic responsibility are just as important as the projects we are implementing in the city today.”
The Members of “Me-Diator” will be involved in civic education thematic meetings and discussions, in team and interactive activities for 3 months. The project is implemented in cooperation with Rustavi City Hall and Social Initiative Group – “Me-Diator”, with the involvement of Rustavi schools and teachers.
Project participants are selected by online registration, and in the first stream, already 85 young people are involved.
