Rustavi hosted the Youth Conference, “Young and Global Opportunities” on February 9, 2025, Sunday. The goal of the conference was to improve the leadership skills of young people and create new opportunities related to international education.
The event was organized by the Youth Agency and Rustavi City Hall and was opened by Rustavi Mayor Nino Latsabidze and Head of Youth Agency Vakhtang Saakashvili.
Rustavi City Hall shared glimpses of the conference on its official Facebook on the same day and also shared a small note about the youth conference.
According to the information, shared by the City Hall, it should be noted that these types of conferences are held regularly in Rustavi and the main aim of these conferences is to raise awareness about topics like healthy lifestyle, tolerance, and human rights.
The event was attended by Minister of youth agency Vakhtang Saakashvili, and Mayor of Rustavi, Nino Latsabidze. The mayor of rustavi appreciated the City Hall for organizing such a conference for the Youth of the nation.
She noted that the Youth of Rustavi had a great opportunity to hear and talk about interesting topics with professors from Cambridge and Oxford Universities.
In her speech, she also expressed gratitude towards the Education Minister and the Ministry of Youth. She said, “I would like to say thank you very much to the minister of education and also to the ministry youth agency for this opportunity.”
According to Rustavi’s Mayor, events like these help young people see modern approaches and opportunities to further develop their skills, and set new goals to become successful.

It is noteworthy that more than 300 young people from Rustavi participated in the conference and each of them was given a certificate of participation. It should also be noted that Georgian and foreign speakers were also present at the event.
The representatives of Oxford and Cambridge Universities, talked about 21st-century youth opportunities, developing skills needed for career advancement, and the role of digital technology in education.
Along with professors of Oxford and Cambridge Universities, the Georgian reporters also spoke at the conference. The reporters talked about the importance of international education and shared their experiences of leadership and self-development with young people.
