Rustavi, Georgia: The Mayor of Rustavi Nino Latsabidze, A(A)IP “Rustavi Corporation” and Rustavi City Council fraction “Georgian Dream” got acquainted with the representatives of the “Georgian Dream” on the spot on November 26, 2024.
Rustavi City Hall started the project of replacing old elevators with new ones and free elevators in 2022.
Nino Latsabidze said, “One of our team’s promises was that the mortarized elevators in the city would be replaced with new, modern standards elevators. In addition, Rustavi City Hall, we also took the responsibility for the maintenance and patronage of the elevators.”
“During the last 3 years, in Rustavi, 11 million GEL has been spent from the budget on replacing old elevators with new ones, complete modernization and maintenance. With the support of the Georgian government, today, in Rustavi high-rise buildings, more than 300 elevators have been fully modernized and replaced,” she mentioned.
According to the minister, her team continues to work to fulfill all promises made to Rustavi residents and Rustavi will become a city where there will be no more old shortened elevators in any building and the population will live in buildings equipped with modern, safe infrastructure.
Nino Latsabidze said, “Projects of replacing old elevators with new ones and complete modernization continue in Rustavi. “Out of 82 lifts planned for 2024 60 are already fully modernized,” she added.
A complete upgrade of the lifts is carried out with full compliance with safety standards, including the installation of a new control cabinet, full rehabilitation of electrical wiring, new engine, machinery, and cabin.
In the budget of 2024 Rustavi, 2 330 000 GEL was allocated for the implementation of the elevators modernization project.
In 2022-2024, 330 new elevators were installed in Rustavi high-rise buildings. Rustavi City Hall started the project of replacing old elevators with new ones and free elevators in 2022.
