In Rustavi, a Georgian municipality, for the first time, a municipal space for digital development – an innovation hub based on modern technologies was opened.
Rustavi digital development space unites three main directions – digital transformation of municipal services, smart city, educational center, and user-friendly co-working zones.
Presentation of Rustavi’s digital development space was presented by the mayor of the city, Nino Latsabidze, with the team. She noted, “We have opened a unique municipal digital space in Rustavi, where the concept of smart city and a new opportunity for youth education are united.”

Digital transformation of municipal services – Smart City is one of the main objectives of the project and aims to implement digital platforms in municipal services, development of an electronic management system, integration of artificial intelligence in urban management, monitoring of public safety, transport, energy efficiency, and environmental processes. The second main direction, which will work in the space of digital development of Rustavi,
It’s educational. The project includes full-fledged educational components and will contribute to the development of the knowledge and skills of young people. Education programs combine interactive and practical learning methods.
Rustavi youth will learn the basics of data analysis, cybersecurity, robotics, web development (front-end and back-end), graphic design, UI/UX design, IT specialty, and IT project management in the municipal digital space.
The third direction of the project is a shared workspace, where an inclusive work environment is created with modern infrastructure. Study halls, recreation area, and digital library are available.
Rustavi digital development space will receive the mainstream of young people from September. In August, a new technologically equipped space is waiting for those who want it, together with the Georgian Innovation Hub (Nebula AI Hub), an AI training course, and practical studies.
