Georgia: The choreographic festival officially commenced in Rustavi, on Sunday drawing approximately 15000 people from across the region. The opening ceremony featured captivating performances from renowned ensembles such as Salkhino, Kalkhaberi and Khanumi.
The festival was officially launched with two hours long concert and enthralling and exciting performances from the artists. The festival is taking place this year at the Rustavi Central Park and hosted approximately 15 thousand people. The grand concert held at the venue further set the mood straight for an exciting time during the whole celebration.
At the end of the concert, in the square named after Rustavi Gonashvili a star was opened in honour of the ensemble ‘Salkhino’ with immense celebration and excitement. The Mayor of Rustavi Nino Latsabidze opened the festival space, together with Tinatin Rukhadze, Minister of Culture of Georgia and Parliament of Georgia Irakli Shatakishvili, delegate of Rustavi and Garabani historical villages of the Central Park.
As the festival has been officially opened it will last for around 10 days. As per reports, this year approximately 26 ensembles and 3000 young dancers from different regions of Georgia will participate and showcase their talent to the audience.
Over the coming days, the audience could except a rich array of cultural diversity and performances that reflect the unique tapestry of Georgian tradition.
This festival will also serve as a platform for emerging artists, while fostering a cultural exchange of unity and shared values through their art. As the festivities will continue across Rustavi Central Park, the municipality is expected to be a lit with lights and entertainment offering vibrant celebrations to locals and visitors alike.
