The local administration of the Sagarejo municipality held a meeting with the citizens of the locality. This was held under the “village support programme” scheme to know the needs and requirements of villagers to address the problems of locals.
It is to be specifically mentioned that Sagarejo Municipality’s Mayor Avtandil Gulikashvili along with many other representatives of the municipality including First Deputy Emzar Kuchuashvili Head of the Infrastructure Service Beka Feikrishvili and Chairman of the City Council Alexi Gilashvili within the framework of the Village Support Program and in order to identify priorities met with residents of the villages of Big and Small Chailuri, Verkhviani and Kakabeti.
On this occasion in order to determine the needs Avtandil Gulikashvili continued to talk with the locals in dialogue mode and noted that very soon public transport will be started in administrative units which will solve the problem of the low connectivity of the village population.
As per the information provided by the municipality administration within the framework of the rural support program an amount of 668 000 GEL has been allocated for Sagarejo Municipality. A number of development projects will be completed by utilising this amount of money.
There are some projects that need to be financed within the program, which include some of the following:
1 Drinking water systems (including boreholes, water pipes, top bumps, sewage bumps, wells, etc.
2 Irrigation systems
3 The drainage channels
4 Some side work to do
5 Roads and roadsides
6 Bridges, bridge boggers, crossings.
7 Lighting up the outside
8 Facilities around the school area
9 Preschool facilities and relevant inventory
10 Cemetery fencing and arranging
11 Sports infrastructure, fields and playground inventory
At the same time the squares including children’s squares with appropriate inventory as well as recreation areas and wet spots with appropriate inventory will be established.
Moreover the rehabilitation of mills and relevant inventory mini hydroelectric stations and appropriate rehabilitation/rehabilitation will be established.
It is to be added that these meetings under the village support program will continue with the population until February 16.
