The administration of the Samtredia municipality has been constructing the houses for the needy families. The Construction of houses is underway for four socially vulnerable families living in damaged houses and is about to be completed very soon.
It is to be mentioned explicitly that year after year many programs are being created for the social welfare of Samtredia Municipality Hall and are used to extend help to needy families as well. It is to be noted that using the funds in the current year’s budget for the first time in Samtredia the construction of new houses has been started for four families living in damaged homes. Moreover last year more than 5000 people in Samtredia were assisted by social and health care programs that were funded by the municipality’s budget.
Similarly the renewal of the programs has made it possible to build homes for socially vulnerable families who have lived in unbearable conditions on their registered land for years. Today, the mayor of the municipality David Bakhtadze with the head of the social service of the city hall Levan Akhobadze and the head of the supervisory service Amiran Tevdoradze got acquainted with building houses.
During his visit, the mayor stated “Despite the long-term housing service in the state the segment mentioned above did not fall into any category for a long time. So we decided to start this unprecedented project this year and build a house for 4 families under a different program. I think this is a targeted spending and more will be done in this direction in the coming years. ”
Meanwhile the beneficiaries themselves express their gratitude to the government. While extending gratitude to the municipality one beneficiary namely Shorena Ghvinianidze added “Thank you very much to Samtredia Municipality Hall and Mr. David Bakhtadze. My broken house will be replaced with a new one. You can see the construction going on. I have nothing more to say than thank you.”
Many other people who will benefit from new housing schemes also thanked the government representative and Mayor of the municipality. They also demanded that the city should continue this effort in the future as well to help the needy people.
