The 8th Georgian Wine Forum was held in San Francisco with the support of the General Consulate of Georgia and the organization of the Georgian-American Business Council. The main cities in which the forum was held are- California, Davis, and San Francisco.
The National Wine Agency of Georgia shared glimpses of the Wine Forum on its Official Facebook page on June 27, 2025, Friday. The Agency also shared the details of the Forum along with its glimpses.
Highlights of the Forum
Within the forum, a scientific seminar was held at the Robert Mondavi Institute in Davis City with the participation of scientists, economists, and wine professionals.
During the conference, the participants discussed the strategy for Georgian wine’s establishment in the US market, the marketing potential of Georgian wine in the US market, and the state of the modern Georgian wine industry.
Along with this, a conference on Georgian wine culture, its history, breed diversity, unique winemaking methods, economy and marketing of Georgian wine, and tasting of Georgian wine was held in San Francisco.
The event was attended by Tamta Kvalidze, the head of the Marketing and Public Relations Department of the National Wine Agency, who believes that such activities are the most important to establish Georgian wine in the US market.
He gave a wonderful speech at the forum, in which he noted that Georgian wine has great potential in the US market, from Georgia to the United States, last year, a historical maximum of wine exports was recorded, 1.2 million liters.
According to him, Georgian wine is represented at all important exhibitions in the United States. “Georgian wine tastings are conducted with our support, to get to know Georgian wine and its culture, we are organizing the visit of American wine professionals to Georgia,” added Tamta Kvalidze.
