Georgia: Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Institutional Development Program-funded project “Promoting High-Quality Digital Education in Georgia” (PRODIGE), a series of training sessions was held for representatives of the consortium member universities from February 4-6.
Samtskhe-Javakheti State University shared glimpses of the training program on its official Facebook page on February 12, 2025, Wednesday. The University’s Facebook page also shared a note along with the photographs.
The training sessions were conducted by representatives of Tallinn University of Technology. The event was a 3-day training on digital education in higher education.
According to the information shared by the University, it should be noted that during the training, participants discussed key aspects of digital education, including:
- Flexibility, accessibility, and scalability of digital education
- Artificial intelligence, AR/VR, and adaptive learning approaches
- International best practices and their adaptation to the Georgian context
- Regulations, quality assurance, and strategic development frameworks
It is worth noting that the Samtskhe-Javakheti University was represented by three main personalities. They are
- Tea Tatenashvili,
- Irakli Khachidze,
- Tamar Kapanadze.
It is noteworthy that this was the first introductory meeting within the project, which will be followed by additional activities, including training, job experience sharing (job shadowing), policy development, and other events, which will contribute to the development of digital education in Georgia.
It is to be noted that, the project is supported by the Estonian Quality and International Accreditation Agency and University Network.

- Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth,
- The National Center for Quality Development,
- 10 top Georgian educational institutions,
- Partner with educational institutions from Belgium, Estonia, Spain, and Croatia.
- The project coordinator of EFMD.
