Georgia: The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, gives a speech about the victory of the Georgian Dream, which the Georgian people achieved and gave hope to the Georgian people.
He also writes on his official Facebook page, “Today, “Georgian Dream,” from our new central office, we are participating in an active election marathon. Every victory of the “Georgian Dream” was achieved by standing by the Georgian people, with their great trust, and I am sure that on October 26, we will celebrate another great victory together with the people.”
Georgia’s history is full of storms, and it is the history of the struggle for national self-sufficiency and dignity. The issue of Georgian statehood and the existence-non-existence of the Georgian nation has often arisen in the country’s existence. The fact is one thing: even the footprints of the greatest empires are not there, and Georgia still stands proud and among other worthy ones, with its head held high and wings with new victories.
Shalva Papuashvili also noted, “No one knows the price of war as a Georgian man’s sorrow, just as no one knows the price for peace like us. During peace, the Georgian gene starts to shine like never before. At this time, the treasure of Georgian spirituality and culture is created, and a tiger’s skin is written, officers appear, and an angel of the grasshopper is created. That is why the Georgian hymn is heard in the Vatican and at the European Football Championship today.”
They are reaping the fruits of the good seeds they planted together 12 years ago. For the first time in their independence, they had 12-year continuous peace. The country and its people rested from the wars that killed our lives and hopes. As it has happened in our history, together with peace, the time has come for the manifestation of the Georgian genes and the rebuilding of the country.
This is why no European country is growing economically and institutionally as fast as Georgia; it is the result of twelve years of continuous peace that a new generation has not seen war and has not felt the pain of destruction. On the contrary, with peace and unique capabilities, the wingmen have proudly brought Georgia’s name worldwide.
On his official Facebook page, he also wrote that the seed was sown 12 years ago, and the long-term vision made it possible to reach an association agreement in spite of many European skeptics, obtain visa-free entry despite much European opposition, and become a candidate for EU membership despite many European opponents.
“This was made possible because, unlike all the other governments of the period of independence, it was never quick-tempered, did not seek immediate and fragile results, but had long-term and sustainable goals. Their history teaches us that a country’s life is also like a human’s, where those in a hurry are always late.”
He expressed his gratitude by thanking the big family of Georgian Dream, every parliamentarian, government member, local government representative, and the large army of members of the Georgian Dream Party and supporters. He said, “Thank you for always maintaining the main focus in the difficult hurricanes – bringing Georgia to peace. I also thank real friends inside and outside for standing by Georgia on the way to peace. We will always remember this friendship and be loyal to our true friends in thick and thin.”
“Each country has made its own unique path towards the EU because everyone with their own unique historical experience, vision for the future, and function enters the union. Even today, we see countries going through different experiences, tests, and even tribulations on their way to the European Union,” the Minister stated.
He reported, “First of all, this is Europe. We, as co-creators of European civilization, are Europe itself. In this regard, our European way means preserving Georgian culture, traditions, and values and participating in their development.”
“Secondly, this is the European Union as a union of European people. We don’t just aspire to be a member; we aspire to be year-round in that one union as equals among equals. Enter with our unique role and national function, which we have unfortunately lost many times. We want to enrich and strengthen the EU culturally and economically, not just blend in.”
That’s why they have no competitors in this election. War cannot compete with peace, just like hopelessness, prosperity, destruction, rebuilding, and barrenness patriotism.
At last, he said, “Therefore, the elections of October 26 should not only be the victory of peace, dignity, prosperity, i.e. the true “Georgian Dream,” but it should also be the day of the final defeat of war, destruction, and homelessness. We believe in victory! By you, for you, and with you.”
