Tbilisi: The Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature implemented a new project to promote the Georgian language internationally. The institution implemented this project with the help of Caucasus International University.
According to the event organizers the program “Georgian Writing Worldwide” was developed to enhance the production of joint transnational projects and other research work in the field of Georgian language. Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation provided financial support for the project.
It is also worth noting that the participants were hosted by the New Sorbonne, Potsdam, Viadrina, and Khazar universities. The other program partners include the Association of Comparative Literature of Azerbaijan, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Literature.
A dedicated video prepared by the CIU multimedia evaluated the lectures, the work process and the participants’ emotions. Nino Chalaganidze the advisor to the chancellor of the Caucasus International University and the head of the multimedia center, presented the unique work before the audience as well.
The audience of the event also listened to the address of the chancellor of Caucasus International Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze. During his dedicated speech he drew attention to the importance of similar projects that can help to promote national traditions and Georgian literature.
In the past years the Georgian Association of Comparative Literature the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature and the Caucasus International University have offered three cycles of programs. These three works also include “Georgian Writing of the 20th Century and the Idea of National Identity.” True history.”
The other projects included in this are “Georgian Literature in 90 Minutes: Global and Local” and “Georgian Children’s Writing: From Mother Tongue to Salamur.” Again these projects were implemented with the financial support of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
The University is the front runner for many such projects that have the potential to promote the Georgian language at the international level so that a maximum number of people can understand Georgian cultural values through reading literature.
