Tbilisi: The Special Investigation Service (SIS) of Georgia in a crackdown against anti-social elements have revealed eight facts of paedophilia, sextortion and depraved acts against minors. The service also arrested a 32-year-old man living in the Samegrelo region linked with crime.
After the investigation the investigation agency began an in-depth investigation. As per the investigation  the accused person has created multiple fake accounts on different social media handles and made online friendships with girls between the ages of 10 and 18. He then establishes close relations with the . Moreover  the accused threatened to share their private images on different social media platforms if they did not fulfill his illegal demands.
In March 2024 the accused wrote to his relative a minor 15-year-old girl living in West Georgia  from the fake user page and introduced himself as a peer. Later during the correspondence  the accused asked the 15-year-old girl to take naked photos of her 13-year-old sister and send   to her. Otherwise  he threatened to kill her.
Frightened by threats  the minor sent pictures of her nude body to the accused instead of his sister, after which the man systematically asked him to send new photos and video material. After blocking the accused on the social network the man distributed the photos of his 15-year-old relative’s naked body to the minor’s neighbors, friends, and acquaintances in the village.
The Special Investigation Service arrested the accused on June 16, 2024  in Samegrelo because of operational and investigative actions. Before the arrest and at the beginning of the search the accused damaged his mobile to destroy the evidence. However investigation agencies successfully recovered the data. During the search of the house of the accused  cartridges used for military purposes were also recovered.
This is a result of the analysis of the information found in the accused’s mobile phone and the investigative actions taken that sevan additional minor victims were identified  including young children after which on September 2, 2024  the man was charged with sexual extortion and sexual assault by law enforcement agencies.
