Georgia: The Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Technology, and Pharmacy of Sokhumi State University hosted a 70th anniversary evening dedicated to the birth of professors and teachers. The event was held on April 29, 2025.
It is noteworthy that the greatest responsibility and professional charm is to be a teacher, a successful professional, with love and respect, an exemplary face and example for colleagues and the younger generation, and a knowledgeable face and example for society.
Notably, the Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor Nestan Kekelia, opened the meeting with this pathos. He warmly congratulated the jubilee celebrants, and expressed his gratitude for their contribution in the life of faculty and university, in raising the younger generation.
He also noted that this anniversary is just the beginning of a difficult but exciting journey to achieve new goals and success.
Professor Zurab Khonelidze, Rector of Sokhumi State University, addressed the public with a welcome speech. They also congratulated the teachers on that important day. He talked about their long and fruitful achievements in the field of education and science. Moreover, the rector also wished them success in their future endeavors.
He expressed his warm gratitude towards Goderdzi Meladze for supporting the Sokhumi Branch of Tbilisi State University in difficult times.

In appreciation of their contributions to science and successful teaching activities, David Jalagonia and Nestan Kekelia presented tokens of appreciation and keepsakes to Dr. Goderdzi Meladze, Associate Professor of Chemistry, Antonina Mskhiladze, and Associate Professor of Informatics, Nugzar Kereselidze, during the anniversary celebration.
A festive cake was cut for the jubilee, at the end of the event.
