Sokhumi, Georgia: An evening dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the founding of the choreographic ensemble “Miron” was held at Sokhumi State University on January 13, 2026, Tuesday.

Ensemble “Miron” and folk ensemble “Mordum” took part in the anniversary evening. The stage was also dedicated to solo artists who enriched the evening with lyrics and musical numbers. During the evening, a newly formed Abkhazian dance was presented, which was performed on stage for the first time.
A photo exhibition was organized within the event, where unique shots depicting the long-term creative journey of the ensemble were presented.
The Rector of Sokhumi State University, Professor Tea Jugheli, addressed the audience, who awarded the choreographer of the ensemble, David Nadareishvili, for his meritorious contribution to the development of Georgian culture.
The event had a particularly symbolic character – it was attended by members of seven generations of the ensemble, which once again emphasizes the rich history of “Miron”, continuous tradition, and devotion to Sokhumi State University.
It is noted that the ensemble “Miron” is part of the Sports, Culture, and Youth Affairs Service of the Sokhumi State University, and the mentioned service has played an important role in its formation and development over the years.
