Tbilisi, Georgia: The Special Investigation Service exposed and arrested a 40 year old man for pedophilia and depraved acts committed against 4 minors. The Special Investigation Service also shared details and a video of the police authorities taking the man to the station. They shared the post on May 2, 2025 (Friday).
Through an investigation, it was found that the man living in Tbilisi created fake Facebook and Instagram accounts. The accused used his fake accounts to contact girls under the age of 14 living in different regions of Georgia. He met them under different names, hid his age and identity. He also sent them pornographic photo and video materials and talked about sexual issues.
Furthermore, the investigation by the Special Investigation Service revealed 5 criminal episodes of the accused exposed in pedophilia. The accused, through a fake Facebook Messenger profile, initially contacted a 14-year-old girl living in Zugdidi. Later, he contacted a 14-year-old child living in Senaki.Â
The accused sent the affected children pornographic video material and talked about sexual issues. He later forcibly undressed the minor girl and forced her to send photos and videos depicting her naked body.
Additionally, the accused also contacted 11-year-old girls living in Gori district and 12-year-old girls living in Tbilisi using similar methods, to whom he sent pornographic photos and videos and talked about intimate issues.
The Special Investigation Service arrested the accused as a result of operational and investigative actions. On May 1, 2025, the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia stated that the man was charged with 5 episodes of pedophilia and depraved behavior.
According to sources, the crime provides for imprisonment for up to 12 years. The Special Investigation Service will offer the affected children a psycho rehabilitation course in order to overcome the trauma caused by the crime.
The Special Investigation Service called on the public to be careful. They stated that it is important for all parents to show maximum attention when their child accesses the Internet.
